Martin Woodtli - Excerpt from 'Masters of Poster Design' (Rockport)

This example was a bit of a wildcard for me. What caught my eye was the way that the overlayed type really adds texture and interest to the poster. This gives it a sense of movement, excitement and playful-ness that I think really makes the poster successful. It also contains only a small amount of written information making it mostly illustrative. I like the positioning of the words as they are not simply positioned at the top and bottom of the poster, but are angled to match the illustration featured.
